19th century country town hotel perfectly located on the edge of the Northumberland National Park in the beautiful tranquil village of Rothbury, just 11 miles from Alnwick.
Coquetvale Hotel is an ideal base for walking, cycling or outdoor pursuits, or simply just a nice relaxing break for the weekend. The hotel boasts a very popular Italian restaurant with bags of character that is very popular with visitors and locals alike. Because of its popularity, it is strongly advisable for guests to phone ahead and reserve a table, particularly during busy holiday periods and at weekends.
The bedrooms are all spacious en suite rooms with colour TV and hospitality trays. The superior rooms are larger, with lovely views towards the centre of Rothbury and the surrounding countryside, and boast spa baths and separate cubicle showers.
The hotel offers comfortable, well furnished accommodation and prides itself on providing excellent customer service.

Free parking is available in the hotel car park. However, due to the popularity of the busy Italian Restaurant, the hotel cannot guarantee that spaces will be available, particularly for guests arriving after 17:00. Alternative free parking is available on the roadside just in front of the hotel.
From 1 November 2008 - 29 March 2009, the restaurant and bar facilities will be closed on Mondays.

The award-winning Italia Plus restaurant is open from 17:00 from Tuesday to Sunday, and is extremely popular with locals and visitors alike. You are strongly recommend to call/email the hotel prior to your arrival to reserve a table, particularly if you are staying at a weekend or during a busy holiday period.
By Car
From The South:
- Follow the A1 and take the A697, signposted to Coldstream.
- Continue on the A697, entering Longhorsley.
- Branch left then merge onto the B6344 and continue, entering Rothbury.
- Turn left at the Jubilee Hall, and bear left over the bridge.
- The hotel will be on your right-hand side.
From The North:
- Follow the A1 until the B1340, signposted (Alnwick Denwick).
- Continue, entering Alnwick.
- Turn right onto Market Street B6341, follow this road over Alnwick Moor until you reach New Moor crossroads (crossing the A697).
- At the crossroads, continue straight on (signposted Rothbury).
- Stay on this road, passing Cragside and dropping down into Rothbury.
- On entering Rothbury itself, turn left at the Jubilee Hall, cross over the bridge, bear left and continue up the hill where you will find the hotel on the right-hand side.
